Sarah Shortreed

Sarah is a seasoned executive who’s worked in the high tech sector in Canada for over 20 years. She specializes in combining strategy and operations to drive business growth using technology. Most recently, Sarah was a VP at BlackBerry, responsible for planning, procurement, processes and continuity across four of RIM’s operating units. Before joining RIM in 2008, Sarah spent 12 years with IBM in leadership roles such as project and program management; business transformation and process re-engineering; and strategy consulting. Prior to IBM, Sarah held a variety of engineering and management roles at Union Gas in the areas of regional operations and pipeline construction. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree, Mechanical from the University of Western Ontario. Sarah is active on a number of boards related to technology careers and diversity in technology.
